Supporting girls for their empowerment
Women Development Society (WODES) has been investing in education for over two decades with the purpose of protecting and promoting the rights of girls, aiming for their empowerment as well as bringing them into leadership roles in the predominantly male-dominated Nepali society.
WODES has thus been working tirelessly to provide girls various support in education and capacity building programs. Simultaneously, it is also involving them in advocacy, and knowledge development activities, especially within the in scientific and technological domains. In addition to this, it has been conducting various programs regularly to enable the girls to be productive and able to contribute to the society as a whole. WODES has recently also donated books to the library of Balambu Secondary School, and donated masks to the students studying there for protection against Covid-19.
